To be purposeful in lifting people out of crisis, offering a healing and nurturing treatment experience to create a new life that is happy, joyous and free. Port Recovery was founded in 1999 by Shelly Granruth. In her memory, Port Recovery is continuing her life’s work to offer hope to those in need and break the cycle of addiction and suffering in our community.

Residential
Programs
We have found that a fully immersive residential treatment program with an emphasis on a structured daily schedule and full wrap-around services is by far the most effective way for a person to put the suffering of addiction behind them for good.
Outpatient

Port Recovery offers a full range of outpatient services. We can support all of your behavioral health and general medical needs with our complete staff of trained and licensed professionals. We offer outpatient services both in-person and virtually and can work around your schedule.

Substance Abuse Treatment
Port Recovery offers a variety of levels of addiction treatment, with both group and individual, in-person and virtual options.
Medication-Assisted Treatment
We prescribe Suboxone and all other maintenance medications. We can also provide of all mental health medications and therapy.
Primary Care
We prioritize care without rushing and mix modern science with old fashioned values. We listen carefully to your needs.
Gambling Education
Port Recovery offers caring treatment for problem gambling, with proven strategies that work. No insurance needed.
DUI Education
Our program meets all legal requirements for Maryland and neighboring states and offers both in-person and virtual options.
